Florida humidity
wrecks doors.

Every summer in Central Florida, the combination of rain, heat, and interior AC creates a moisture differential between the interior and exterior of wood and composite doors. They absorb moisture, expand, and start dragging against the frame or refusing to latch. It's one of the most common repair calls we get in July and August — and it's completely fixable without replacing the door.

We diagnose first. A sticking door might need three minutes of planing along one edge, or it might have a hinge that's come loose from the frame and needs the screw holes re-anchored. Older homes have settling foundations that can torque a frame out of square — that's a different fix from a simple swell. We identify what's actually causing the problem, not just address the symptom. Sliding glass doors get separate treatment: worn rollers, damaged tracks, and off-plumb frames are each a distinct repair.

We handle door work across greater Orlando and the surrounding area. Interior doors, exterior doors, entry doors, sliding glass doors, pocket doors, and screen doors. New installs, rehang after a frame repair, weatherstripping replacement, and lock alignment. Request an estimate and we'll quote the job flat.

What we fix

Every door problem.
One pro.

If it swings, slides, or latches — we fix it. One quote, one visit, no callbacks.

Sticking & swollen doors

Diagnosis first — swell, hinge failure, or frame shift. Then the right fix: plane, re-hang, or anchor. We don't just sand an edge and hope for the best.

Sliding glass doors

Worn rollers, bent or dirty tracks, and off-square frames. We replace rollers, clean and align tracks, and re-plumb the door so it glides again without grinding or jumping.

Locks, latches & weatherstripping

Deadbolt misalignment, strike plate adjustment, latch that won't catch, and weatherstripping that's cracked or missing. We fix the function and seal the gap.

Common questions

Straight answers.

My door only sticks in summer — does it need repair?

Seasonal sticking is normal for wood and some composite doors in Florida. If it's a minor seasonal swell that resolves on its own, it may not warrant a repair. But if it's dragging hard enough to scratch the floor, or the latch won't catch, it's worth fixing before the swell gets worse or the hinge screws start pulling out of softened wood.

Can you repair a sliding glass door, or does it need to be replaced?

Most sliding glass door issues — rollers, tracks, and alignment — are repairable without replacing the door unit. Replacement is warranted when the frame is bent, the glass is cracked, or the door is old enough that parts aren't available. We'll tell you honestly which situation you're in before we quote.

Do you install new doors, or just repair existing ones?

Both. We rehang existing doors, install pre-hung units, and install slabs into existing frames. Exterior door installs may require a permit depending on the scope — we'll flag that if it applies and pull the permit if needed.

How fast can you get out here?

Same-week scheduling in most cases. If it's an exterior door that won't close or lock, tell us that when you request the estimate and we'll prioritize it. We don't leave people with a security issue on hold.
